Setting up Notification Schemes

Overview

If you have EB360 administrator permissions, you can set up notification schemes to alert designated people when events occur on the platform. You can create notification schemes for any event that is tracked in the Event Log. It is up to you who gets notified and what events they are notified on.

To set up a notification scheme:

1. In the left-hand navigation pane, go to Platform Settings > Notification Schemes. The Notification Settings page is displayed, listing all notification schemes that are present on your platform.
2. At the top of the list, click Add:
3. The Notification Scheme Configuration dialog is displayed. Enter details for:
   • Name - this is the name of your new scheme. It can be anything you like; the only purpose of the name is to help identify your new scheme in the Notification Schemes list.
   • Notify Users - select the Ethixbase360 users who will receive the notification. 
   • Notify Additional Emails - use this to add anyone who needs to be notified but is not on the platform. Note: Where a user is on the EB360 platform, it is recommended that you always add them from the Notify Users drop-down menu rather than entering their details here.
   • Conditions:
     • Type - select the event type that you want to notify users about. For example, to send notifications when an IDD is returned as "Red", and has not yet been remediated, set the type to IDD OGM Unremediated Red.
       Please refer to The Event Log for a list of the event types that you can select.
     • Tags - optionally, to refine the notification scheme and make it more selective, you can add tags. A notification will only fire if an event has all the tags specified in the notification scheme.

5. Click Save to finish creating the notification scheme. Your new scheme is displayed in the Notification Schemes list.
6. Your new notification scheme will send emails to the designated recipients whenever an event is logged that has the 'type' and 'tags' that you specified in step 3, above.
