If you are an EB360 administrator, you can set up notification schemes for any event that is tracked in the Event Log. These notification schemes are broadcast-type notifications that will email all of your selected recipients every time an event of the selected type happens - for example, you could notify people whenever any custom attribute is updated.
If you want to send more targeted emails - e.g. to notify people when a specific custom attribute is updated - then this requires using the workflow-based email system introduced in the EB360 3.8.0 release. How do notification schemes work?
Notification schemes are linked to the Event Log. When you set up a notification scheme, you select an event type that is tracked by the Event Log, and specify who will be notified about that event type. Notification emails will then be sent whenever an event is logged that meets the criteria specified in the notification scheme. Here is a simplified view of the notification process:
