Users can be added, removed and edited on an EB360 platform via the Users section under the Platform settings. Note that only Administrators can get to these settings.
Clicking the add button at the top of the list allows you to add extra users
Users have the following properties:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Job Title (Optional)
- Country
- Roles, which you need to select from the drop down, see more about the roles here
- Last Login: Time and date of the user's most recent login. Blank if they’ve never logged in (including users migrated from EB2 who haven’t yet accessed EB360).
Active and Deactivated users
By default, users are active. Administrators can deactivate users as required, from the Actions options in the Platform Users table. Deactivated users:
- Cannot login to the platform.
- Don't receive email notifications from the platform.
Deleting users
Only deactivated users can be deleted.
If users have been active in the platform, it is recommended that you leave them as deactivated (rather than deleting them) to retain the history of their actions.
Resetting passwords
Administrators can reset a given users password from the action column in the user table. This will send that user an email allowing them to choose a new password.
User accounts and SSO
Users that login via SSO, will need to be setup as users in the platform in the same way as above. This is how the system will assign them their required role(s). They will authenticate via the SSO, so functions like resetting passwords are not applicable to these users.
Setting up the first user on a platform
For more information on setting up the first user on a platform, please see here (note the page is restricted for some users)
Searching over users
You can search for users using the filter box at the top of the user list, it filters on the Name and Email columns.
NOTE: When you search for users your own account will NOT be listed as you cannot change your own permissions. To make changes to your own account you will need a second admin to amend them. For example if you are logged in as myAdmin@foo.com, then when you look at the user list myAdmin@foo.com will not appear.
You can contact Ethixbase support via this help centre if you need further assisstance with this.
User roles
Users are assigned to roles, this determines what permissions they have on the platform
What permissions can I give users in EB360?
Can I mass import users at the same time?
Yes. For more details, see Importing Users.
