You can use the Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) service to identify owners, shareholders and ultimate beneficiaries of your third parties, and find out more about them. You can order this service in the same way that you order any other due diligence service.
Before you can order the UBO service, third party details must be verified using Freemium verification. If your platform uses OpenCorporate verification, you will not be able to order the UBO service.
To order ownership information
- Navigate to the Manage Third Parties list, or a list-based user view.
- In the Actions column, select the third parties to order the UBO service for.
- Click the Actions button at the top of the list:
- The available services are displayed. Select the UBO service and click Submit:
You can also order the UBO service from within a third party profile. For instructions, see Ordering Due Diligence Services for Third Parties.
Viewing ownership information
After the UBO service has been ordered for a third party, ownership information will be displayed in the third party profile. To view the ownership information, go to:
- Third party profile > Ultimate Beneficial Owner tab
The following views are provided: a detailed table, a relationship chart, and individual profiles for each beneficiary. For more details, please see Viewing Third Party Owners and Beneficiaries.
What if a UBO can't be found?
If the UBO service cannot identify an ultimate beneficial owner, you can use our due diligence questionnaires to solicit this information from your third parties directly.
If this is not possible, or where ownership chains are particularly complex and opaque, our research analysts can investigate further on your behalf. If this is something you are interested in, please contact the Support team at Ethixbase360.
