If your platform subscription includes UBO monitoring, then you or other people can be notified when there are changes in third party ownership. Note that this does not happen automatically - in order to be alerted to ownership changes, you must set up a notification scheme.
You must have 'Administrator' permissions to set up a notification scheme.
To set up a UBO notification scheme:
- In the left-hand navigation pane, go to Platform Settings > Notification Schemes. The Notification Settings page is displayed.
- Click Add to start creating your notification scheme.
- Set the following in the Notification Scheme Configuration dialog:
- Name: this can be anything you like. Its only purpose is to allow the scheme to be identified easily in the Notification Schemes list.
- Notify Users: use this to select any EB360 users who need to receive notifications.
- Notify Additional Emails: use this to add anyone who needs to be notified but does not have an EB360 account.
- Type: Ultimate Beneficial Owner Monitoring
- Tags: UBO
- For example:
- Click Save. Your notification scheme is active immediately.
What changes will people be notified about?
When you set up this kind of notification scheme, recipients will be notified of the following changes:
- New owners and beneficiaries
- Changes in ownership percentage
- Removal of owners (e.g. when a previous owner has sold 100% of what they owned)
Recipients will receive notifications for all third parties where these changes are detected.
