System email templates define the content and appearance of the preconfigured system notifications sent out by the EB360 platform (e.g. to welcome a new user). Each system notification has its own designated template, and a single template can support multiple languages.
System email templates contain placeholders that enable content to be tailored at the time that the emails are sent. These can be used to insert third party details (e.g. a contact name), platform information, or details of a logged event.
Note: the system email templates referred to on this page are not the same as user email templates, which are a separate type of template used by the workflow-based email system.
An example template
Here is an example of a system email template that is used to welcome new platform users:
To view system email templates:
- In the left-hand navigation pane, go to Platform Settings.
- Select Email Templates to view a list of all the system email templates on your platform.
Note: In order to view system email templates, you must have EB360 administrator permissions.
Why can't I see any templates?
Your EB360 platform may have been configured to use hard-coded system email templates. If this is the case, you will not be able to view or edit the templates, and there will be nothing listed under Platform Settings > Email Templates.
