What do the settings under Platform Settings > General do?

Overview

There is a section under the Platform Settings called General.  As the name implies it contains platform settings that are not specific to any other areas of configuration.  This page describes what the settings do:

Platform general settings

The following settings exist:

• Standard Account homepage, this is the page that any user that has not overridden their home page will be sent to when they login. I.E the Managed Third party list, event log, or a user defined view and so on.
  
  
• My Home page: this is an override that if set will take the logged in user to the configured page rather than the Standard Account Homepage. Note that because the Platform Settings are currently only accessible to Admins this function is also only available to Admins (to set their home page).
