How do Ongoing Monitoring Events (OGM) work in EB360?

Note this article refers to EB360, not EB2.0 instances

Overview

In EB360 if you have subscribed to the IDD or IDD+ products then you can run these on selected suppliers as you see fit.

These IDD and IDD+ reports are delivered via the platform, however in addition to the initial report this also sets up On-Going Monitoring (or OGM) events on those Third parties.  If you have run both IDD and IDD+ then both will be logged for OGM.

How OGMs work?

OGMs provide monitoring on the Supplier with the IDD or IDD+ report, if in the future there is an event related to that supplier that means new information will be added to the report then an OGM event occurs.  A revised IDD or IDD+ report is generated.  If there are new alerts then it will also be sent to the ethiXbase remediation team.  If the new alerts were false positives then they will be removed, otherwise they will remain and a revised and remediated report generated.  In summary:

1. An IDD or IDD+ report is ordered
2. OGM is setup for this supplier for that report
3. At some time a future an alert may occur which requires that report to be updated
4. If the update generates alerts then it is remediated by ethiXbase
5. If remediation was required then a revised report is provided.

What if there are no further alerts on a third party?

If a supplier is green for the IDD or IDD+, or red but no further events occur then the third party will not get updated (as there is no update to provide).

How can I track and get notified of OGM events?

In EB360 all OGM events will be displayed in the Event Log.  The particular events of interest include:

1. IDD OGM Unremediated RED
2. IDD+ OGM Unremediated RED
3. IDD OGM Remediated GREEN
4. IDD OGM Remediated RED
5. IDD+ OGM Remediated GREEN
6. IDD+ OGM Remediated RED

The events will show which third parties they refer to, a description of the event and related tags.  An example of this is shown below:

You can filter this view via the filter function at the top of the of the view to see just the OGM events.

Setting up a specific View for OGMs

The Event log view has a lot more events within it than just OGM events, so if you want to view this report on a semi regular basis, or not have to filter it each time, the you can build your own Event Log view for this purpose.

To do this press the '+' button at the top right of the screen, and then select 'Event Log' in the resultant dialog, you will also need to give your new OGM view a name

Once the view is created, use the filter settings to reduce the event logs to just OGMs

Then click apply to see just the OGM events (if there have been any. You need to save the settings for this view, so that whenever you come back in, it remains filtered, see below for an example of this

How can I get notified when OGM events occur?

While the Event log views are useful when you are in the platform, if you are not looking on a daily basis you may still want to get notified when OGM events occur. You can do this via the Notification Schemas in the platform settings.

Once in the Notification Schema section click on the 'Add' button, give the notification schema a name, select the users who should receive the notification,  and select one of the Event Log Types. An example is shown below.

If you want to receive notifications on multiple types of events then you can add more Notification schemes. Note there is a duplicate function in the Actions column of this view to perform this action setup more quickly.

Once the notification schema is live you will get emails when these events occur.
